About Kees Philile and his work

I'm a Dutch painter, graduated from the Academy of Arts [Rietveld Academie] and the Institute of Architecture.
Over the years I found myself more and more drawn to painting various kinds of 'habitation'.
On this website I hope to give you a clear impression of my works diversity.

I use a technique of pencil/watercolour/gouache and I strongly believe in giving a painting certain dynamics.
I prefer a combination of more or less geometrical patterns together with colours of your choice, always keeping in mind that a lifelike representation should come first.
